L.G.E... real changes?

It was about July 16th 2006 when students started to complain about the Chilean educational system. The defiencies of the law used for giving the shape to the education of our population were evident. This one just increased the big gap between people who can pay for a good base in studies (and so for a place in university), and people who can not.

Everyone was aware of the problem, but were secondary students who took action. They asked for an immediate change, taking over buildings and protesting classes, and after a long time pressuring, the political scenery replied: they agreed to make some changes.

Students believed in promises and waited quiet a more fair educational system... Sadly, the storm came back with the announcement of a reform unsuficient to create a real change.

Better than the past one? definitely yes,

why not enogh? because it gives the opportunity to profit with money that should be invested in educating, it keeps the educational stablishments dependent of each locality and not from the State (so poor places, were poor people lives, has less resources for education), and it does not change the system of admissions, so good schools are still just for Elites.

All this things make the new scenery not to different from the one before the creation of the L.G.E : it seems than goods schools and good students in this country will continue being an exception.

Me?

Well, my full name is Javiera Sofía Bustos Schindler, but you may just call me Javi. I'm eighteen years old and I study public management.
I live with my mom, one of my three brothers,my grandma, my uncle and my cousin. (such a big family, isn't it?)
I'm not a musician, not a writer, not a great reader, but at least a bit of all the things mentioned. I'm specially good on listening to music while writing nonsense and I like thinking more than talking.
This is not my first blog , but the first than people other than me is allowed to read xD. In this one I hope to improve my grammar and my Daily English skills.
To make it short, I'll finish now, but more is about to come...
